Students will take a quiz over microscopes on Friday, September 30. Today they received a list of what to study as well as a study guide. The study guide will be due by Thursday, September 29 when we will go over it. Students are welcome to turn this in early to have it checked! Here is the list of what to study:
19 questions: 5 multiple choice, 3 extended answer, 10 labeling, 1 drawing = 26 product points
*The smallest objective lens is the one we start and end with
*The diaphragm changes the amount of light coming through
*The fine adjustment knob makes an object more clear or blurry
*The coarse adjustment knob moves the stage up and down
*If something breaks, spills, etc. tell Mrs. Dannug right away - don't clean it up
yourself!
*Carry a microscope with 2 hands, 1 on the neck and 1 on the base
*The dust cover protects the microscope from dust and water
*Be able to label the parts of the microscope
*Be able to accurately draw an image in the microscope's field of view
